Copenhagen Corporate Finance has served as sole financial advisor for the Seller of Sophienberg Castle.
The exceptionally unique property Sophienberg Castle in Rungsted Kyst, originally commissioned by Queen Sophie Magdalene and King Christian VI as a royal pleasure palace, has been sold through an unconventional process with Copenhagen Corporate Finance serving as the exclusive advisor for the Seller.
Today, the splendid main building and the park are preserved. The castle, along with the newer apartment buildings, spans a total area of 3,356 square meters. Sophienberg Castle was most recently operated as a training/conference venue.
The sale of the property was announced by the buyer, ELF Development, during this year's MIPIM in Cannes. The new owner intends to develop and build 21 residences in a shared community with common amenities.
The transaction was conducted in close collaboration between TrueMarketValue and Copenhagen Corporate Finance, where potential buyers were invited to participate in an online auction.
We are pleased, on behalf of the Seller, to have found a good solution for this historic property, promising to breathe new life into this truly unique location.
