Copenhagen Corporate Finance has acted as exclusive financial advisor to Draware A/S on the sale of all its assets to Deloitte Denmark.
Founded in 1995, the Hørsholm based Draware A/S has specialized in the sale and implementation of IT security and network monitoring software. To ensure the optimal solution for its clients, Draware A/S relies on its in-house developed "Dansk IT-Sikkerhedsbarometer", an analytical tool to identify potential IT-security gaps. By combining these analytical skills with highly competent employees with in-depth knowledge about the latest software solutions available, Draware A/S has created a unique position in the market and a highly loyal customer base.
Advisory services within IT security and the subsequent sale of security software is a market experiencing significant growth, facilitated by the increasing awareness on the business risks associated with digitalization and a soar in cyber-attacks.
With its know-how and established position in the IT security market, Draware A/S represents an excellent opportunity for Deloitte to further expand its offerings in this market. For Deloitte, the acquisition of Draware A/S is the first step towards creating an eco-system of advisory services, solutions and software sales.
“This is a strategic “gamechanger” for advisory services, which can be scaled to our existing business areas within Risk Advisory. We are amongst the first consultancies to go down this path – also within the global Deloitte-network,” says Thomas Brun, Managing Partner of Deloitte Risk Advisory.
Christian Schmidt, the founder and owner of Draware A/S, sees great opportunities in becoming part of Deloitte.
“We can give new and existing clients access to highly specialized competencies, advisory services and software solutions. We will complement our own resources with competencies from the global Deloitte network. At the same time, we will be able to accelerate the growth by approaching the market as part of the Deloitte toolbox within cyber security,” says Christian Schmidt, who will be entering the management of Deloitte's Cyber Risk Division.
